The Role of the Construction Industry in the Energy Sector
Abstract
This research paper examines the crucial role of the construction industry in the energy sector, particularly in shaping energy consumption and efficiency. The focus is on the industry's impact throughout the lifecycle of buildings, encompassing design, construction, maintenance, and demolition, with an emphasis on energy efficiency not only during construction but also during the operational phase.
