Submissions
Information for authors
The journal welcomes original work that has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration by another journal. Submission is by e-mail to the editorial office; there are no submission or publication charges.
How to submit
Send your manuscript as an editable .docx file by e-mail to
bit@fsv.cvut.cz. Please use the subject line
“Manuscript submission – Business & IT”. By submitting, the
corresponding author confirms that the work is original, that all named authors have approved
the submission, and that the manuscript complies with the journal's
publication ethics and
editorial policies.
Your submission should include
- Title, full author names, and the institutional affiliation and country of each author
- The ORCID iD of each author
- The name and e-mail address of the corresponding author
- A structured abstract of 150–250 words and 4–6 keywords
- Main text, tables and figures, and a reference list
- Declarations: funding, conflicts of interest, data availability, author contributions, and (where relevant) ethics approval and informed consent
- A statement disclosing any use of generative AI tools (see the AI policy)
Manuscript preparation
- Manuscripts are written in English. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have the text checked by a fluent speaker before submission.
- Recommended length is approximately 12 standard pages (up to about 24,000 characters) for research papers, tutorials and discussion contributions; 1–3 pages for reviews.
- References should be complete, accurate and consistently formatted, and should use the Latin (Roman) alphabet so they are machine-readable for indexing services.
- Please use the journal templates (for double-blind review, prepare both files): Manuscript template – anonymized (Word) Title page template (Word)
What happens next
- The editorial office checks the manuscript for scope, completeness and a similarity check (iThenticate via Crossref Similarity Check).
- Suitable manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by two independent external reviewers.
- The author is informed of the decision in writing and, where applicable, receives the reviewers' comments for revision.
- Accepted articles are copy-edited, assigned a DOI, and published open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence.
No fees. Publishing in Business & IT is free of charge for authors (no submission, page or article-processing charges), and all content is freely available to readers.
